Litigation Paralegal

 

The Position

  

Our team is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented paralegal to join Jackson Lee | PA, a Florida consumer protection law firm.  As a paralegal with the firm, you will work closely with our dedicated team to protect consumers against abusive business practices through state and federal court litigation.  

 

We will count on you to:

  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents; 

  • Prepare discovery requests and responses; 

  • Integrate technology to automate policies, follow and help improve practices and procedures; 

  • Oversee proactive case management; 

  • E-file all court documents in state and federal; 

  • Communicate with clients, court, counsel, and others;  and 

  • Provide general office support including, calendaring, operational matters, and file maintenance. 

 

The Ideal Candidate​

If you are a detail-oriented paralegal with a growth mindset who wants to make a real difference on behalf of consumers, this opportunity is for you! The ideal candidate will possess empathy and compassion and have a genuine interest in helping people going through challenging times.  He or she will have at least three years of experience as a paralegal, with the proven ability to manage a workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. 

 

The ideal candidate will also be comfortable in a paperless environment and functioning from a digital case management platform. Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. Additionally, he or she will have the ability to learn other software utilized by the firm in a reasonable timeframe. 

 

Job-Type Compensation

Investigative Case Manager

 

The Position

 

The Investigative Case Manager is a key team member of Jackson Lee | PA.  You will help fight for the rights of our clients, many of whom are victims of identity theft and other deceptive or illegal practices. 

 

We will count on you to:

 

  • Effectively identify and obtain necessary information through written and verbal communication with potential clients

  • Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to identify key facts and investigative goals

  • Have a curious and analytical mind that enjoys identifying how things fit together

  • Conduct research online and using other tools to help collect information, public records, and other documents to support our clients’ matters 

  • Ability to learn the basic nature of our practice area

  • Have or develop familiarity with common consumer financial documentation such as credit reports, bills, account statements, collection letters, etc.

  • Use research, and discovery online tools to help collect core information to support our cases

  • Organize, review, summarize and prepare documentation, timeline for litigation

  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes

  • Integrate all client information into our client management systems

  • Coordinate, track, and communicate the initiation, status, and completion of projects

  • Provide litigation support as requested

  • Maintain confidentiality of investigations, documents, and records
